Dan's Mountain State Park has excellent woodland habitat near the top of the ridge of Dan's Mountain. There is often a small population of Cerulean Warblers breeding here along with many American Redstarts, Black and White Warblers and an Occasional Black-throated Green Warbler. It is a good place in the county to find Acadian Flycatcher.

The map marker on this page is set by the fish pond which can be a good place to bird. Other good spots are the pavilion across the street from the pond or up at the top of the hill across from the pool and near the overlook. Drive past the pool and turn right following the dirt road (Steel Road) back out of the park.
